What we do

Little Lens Club and Shutter Squad offer creative photography workshops, after-school clubs and lunchtime sessions for primary schools, designed to build confidence, creativity and real-world skills through hands-on learning.

Our programmes are tailored for KS1 and KS2 pupils, supporting the National Curriculum across Art & Design, Computing and Spoken Language, while giving children a fresh, engaging way to express themselves.

A Bespoke Photography Curriculum for KS2 Pupils

Shutter Squad is our structured KS2 photography programme, designed to go beyond simple point-and-shoot.

Pupils learn how to:

  • Understand composition techniques such as the rule of thirds

  • Explore light, colour and storytelling in photography

  • Begin using manual camera settings including aperture and shutter speed

  • Analyse the work of well-known photographers and apply their techniques

  • Develop confidence in creative decision making and visual expression

Each session builds on the last, creating a clear progression that supports both creative development and critical thinking skills.

Creative Enrichment for KS1 Pupils

Little Lens Club introduces younger children to photography in a way that feels natural, playful and confidence-building.

Designed for KS1 pupils, sessions focus on:

  • Encouraging curiosity and observation

  • Exploring colour, shape and storytelling through images

  • Building confidence and independence

  • Developing early creative skills in a supportive environment

These sessions are ideal for schools looking to enhance their creative provision and offer something different to traditional clubs.

Flexible Options for your School

We work with schools to create a format that fits your timetable and priorities:

  • Lunchtime photography clubs

  • After-school photography clubs

  • Short-term workshop series for specific year groups

  • One-off creative photography days or themed workshops

All sessions are fully planned and delivered, with equipment provided where needed.
