Perfect for children who love to explore, create and see the world a little differently.

Little Lens Club is where it all began, a gentle, creative introduction to photography designed especially for children aged 4–7.

This is not about getting things “right”. It’s about helping children explore, notice and enjoy the world around them, camera in hand.

What to Expect

Through a mix of photography games, scavenger hunts and mini creative projects, children are introduced to the foundations of photography in a way that feels natural and fun.

We explore:

  • Colour, light and simple composition

  • How to notice details and moments

  • How to take photos with confidence and curiosity

Each session is designed to feel playful, while quietly building important creative skills.

More Than Just a Photography Class

Every workshop includes:

  • Hands-on time with real cameras

  • A guided photography activity or mini project

  • A creative craft element linked to the session theme

Most importantly, children are given the space to begin developing their own creative voice, learning that their ideas and perspective matter.

Seasonal Workshops & Special Experiences

Our Little Lens Club sessions run throughout the year, including school holidays and half terms, with themes inspired by the seasons.

We also host special workshops at unique local locations, from our much-loved Wildflower Workshops to Photography on the Farm sessions, giving children new environments to explore and capture.

Small Groups, Big Impact

Sessions are intentionally kept small and supportive, allowing each child to feel seen, encouraged and confident.

Because of this, spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly, early booking is always recommended.

❊ FAQs

You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers

  • Each Little Lens Club workshop is designed to be hands-on, creative and fun.

Sessions usually include a mix of photography activities, simple skill-building (like colour, light or composition), and a themed photo project. We often head outdoors to explore, followed by a creative craft activity linked to what they’ve captured.

Every session is a little different, but the focus is always the same, helping children explore, create and enjoy photography in their own way.

  • No, all equipment is provided, including cameras.

If your child already has a camera they love and feel comfortable using, they’re more than welcome to bring it along.

Before each session, you’ll receive a simple checklist with anything they might need depending on the location and weather, things like raincoats, sun hats or a water bottle.

  • Most of our location-based workshops are capped at just 8 children.

This keeps the sessions calm, supportive and allows each child to have plenty of time with the camera, as well as individual guidance.

Some of our seasonal workshops may accommodate slightly larger groups, but we always aim to keep the experience personal and well-supported.

  • We always hope for good weather, especially as many of our sessions take place outdoors, but this is Britain.

Where possible, I’ll always have a plan in place to ensure the session can still go ahead. In the case of exceptionally bad weather, we may need to cancel or rearrange, but I’ll always be in touch in advance to keep you updated.

  • Absolutely.

Little Lens Club is designed as a first step into photography, so no prior experience is needed at all. We start simple and build confidence gradually, allowing children to learn at their own pace in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Whether they’ve never picked up a camera before or already love taking photos, they’ll feel comfortable and included.

  • No, you don’t need to stay, the sessions are designed to give parents a little bit of time back too.

That said, I completely understand that for some children (and parents!), this might be their first time attending a club like this. You’re very welcome to stay for a little while to help them settle, or remain for the full session if that feels right.

The aim is always to make both you and your child feel comfortable, confident and at ease.

  • If your child is using one of my cameras, I’ll go through the images after the session and carefully select a highlight gallery of their best photos.

These will be shared with you via an online gallery, along with a small selection of images I’ve taken during the session.

As you can imagine, some children get very click happy, so rather than sending hundreds of images, I focus on curating a thoughtful selection that really showcases their creativity and what they’ve captured.
